Artist Statement/Bio:

The use of non-traditional art materials in the creation of art works is a well-established approach of the twentieth century. I was first introduced to assemblage in a 3-D design class at Mount San Antonio College in the spring of 1971. I immediately fell in love with the whole process of collecting material and then composing pictures with the found objects. Forty six years later, my interest in this process has not waned.

I earned a Bachelors of Art Degree from California State University Fullerton in 1975. Since then I have worked at various jobs to provide for my family, all the while making these assemblages and collages in the odd cracks of the day. My work has been exhibited frequently in Southern California and much less frequently in other areas of America. I currently teach computer graphics at La Vista High School here in Fullerton.
